After you wake up Elijah (the good version), you will run into Imps sent out to hunt you (while traveling to the library/red light distict/mall) - beat two of them and talk with Elijah about it.

Its more of a thing of blowing off the hunt for the sweet virgin angel that escaped after some incubi and succubi bring in reports of dark angel Elijah banging people on the open streets

I'm not sure if it helps but I noticed that the imps seem to attack you when you leave the bunker, travel around and then they appear upon your return to the bunker.
