The Writers of FS

I was wondering if there was another list of the current writers for FS out there? I know the Writer For Hire thread has one, but was wondering if that is all the writers? I know of:

Wahn
TigerStripes
BlueBishop

Are there any others? Or others who used to write but maybe have taken hiatus or are on break (I seem to remember a writer named "Ursa" or something)

Thanks!

Those are indeed the big three.

We occasionally have guests come in and write their own thing, but we're the ones that stick around and do most of the heavy lifting.

UrsaOmega was with us for a time, then vanished. There were plans for him to write a feral mustang for the farm, but those didn't go anywhere when he disappeared.

That's a shame Ursa disappeared. He wrote Randy the Rhino did he not? Those were some very good scenes.

I am, technically, a writer, having written the first set of content for the game... and the game itself. These days I do more technical assistance, running the credit processing, implementing features, fixing bugs, and minding the web pages as well as posting the updates and what not.

How do you guys normally go about getting new writers? Do people just contact you and offer up their services or do you try and reach out to anyone in particular?

Though it seems that you guys could probably use a few more writers to help out given that the WFH queue and general workload has really gotten huge lately (though I'm partly to blame for that of course ;), at least by my impression. I would have certainly thought the incentive to donate now would be adding more requests and we've also had a high amount of Bonus Hours offered up in recent months too.

Well, it's a bit hard to just walk up to people and say "hey, can you program and wanna write porn"? Not sure about Stripes, but I think Bishop and me were just fans who wanted to bring their own stuff into the game...

FS is a group project, so it's open for anyone to join in and possibly get commissions if people like their stuff - or well, anyone who does have a minimum of programming skills and the ability to write legible sentences. Various people came and went over time, though it'd be awesome if more stayed a bit longer. UrsaOmega for example made nice ferals - and I could really have used that on the farm...

True that. I know you guys have put out a call for interested authors to write some stories within the FS universe for contests and such in the past IIRC. I suppose it would be nice if those who were interested might eventually want to stick around and contribute more. Because yeah, hard to go around to people and ask if they can write smut, unless you're asking people who've written smut already.

Perhaps one day it might be worth it to put a call out to any interested authors who want to contribute in an update on the main page, especially if the queue keeps getting larger. After all, if they do good work, they'll be rewarded. :)

Ah, I was actually pretty curious about this topic for a while now, so thanks for bringing it up koreka. ;3 But yeah, I was indeed curious if there were any channels or such for prospective writers/coders/etc. to contribute to the project, since the thought's struck me a handful of times I admit. I would suspect that there's some level of quality control that'd need to be done beforehand, but yeah... like koreka said, it might not be a half-bad idea if you guys ever put out the call or offer to add future content. It'd certainly dodge the problem of having to ask people awkwardly to draw porn, just letting them come to you instead. Not to mention it might motivate contributors to come out of the woodworks ;3

Oh, FS is always open for new writers - you can just make an account on the GitHub and grab a copy, then start writing your own stuff. As long as you follow some basic content and quality rules, you're welcome to contribute. I would recommend starting with something small at first though - immediately jumping on a massive project can leech away your motivation to write with all the work involved.
