Well, if you want to whore yourself to gain infection benefits... It is already the case now with Bestial Power and Mighty Mutation. But you don't necessary have to lose fights, you can use other ways to transform. And this is not exactly have to be forced, if it would come at cost of drawbacks.

Bestial Power and Mighty Mutation both require you to have completed a decent amount of the content to get to, so they're not quite the same- by the time you can take both feats, you've probably got pretty high stats to begin with. And from experience working with RPGs, trying to achieve balance via drawbacks is really not easy- way too often you'll wind up with something that's either awesome enough that the drawbacks don't actually affect it significantly or you'll have a drawback that's so brutal that it becomes unplayable. Like I said, the idea would require far too much work to actually make it worthwhile.
A big monster like that on such a pointed roof... You may ask 'how does it stay up there, if it's so difficult?'
