Syntax and New engine.

So, I'm not the dev you guys are hiring, but I am actually quite fond of this game, and I was wondering if in the new engineer you would be interested in new syntax, or would you rather keep the same inform syntax as before?
The reason I'm asking now and didn't simply apply for the job when it was available is because I recently found the emscripten project, which would allow me to write the engine in languages that I know (C, and Rust) and convert it to JavaScript for use online. In short, meaning I can actually work on the project now.
